One of the most important investment vehicles for retail investors and a mainstay of retirement planning, mutual funds come with a unique set of operational challenges. This half-day virtual course on Mutual Fund Operations, will cover the mechanics of buying and redeeming a fund as well as the internal operations that funds deal with, including pricing, custody, reconciliation, pricing (NAV), corporate actions, distributions, expenses and transfer agency. Attention will be paid to the unique regulatory requirements of the Investment Act of 1940 as well as the interaction of the fund with its custodian, transfer agent, investors and broker-dealers. Prerequisite: Mutual Fund Fundamentals
